PA YEAR REPS

Our PA Year Reps are invaluable! Each year group has one or two parents as designated Year Reps (from the same or different Houses) to represent the year and are responsible for setting up parent social events within their year group such as coffee mornings and/or evenings out.

The Year Reps also liaise with the Parents' Association and Marketing Department to help promote College and PA events. Year reps often attend Parents' Association committee meetings, but it isn't a requirement to be a year rep.

The year reps for 2017-2018, with photos and introductions, are below.

We ask all Shiplake parents to complete the contact form below, to give permission for the College to pass on their contact details to their respective year rep(s) to allow for ease of communication.

Fill out my online form.
Year 7 - Rachel Sharp

My name is Rachel Sharp. I live in Hurst, near Wokingham with my husband Anthony and 5 children, Phoebe, Will, Tom, Harry and Christian.

As of September 2017 I will have three boys at Shiplake. They are typical boys into all sports and all electronics such as their phones and Xbox! William (Skipwith House) will be in Year 10 and Tom will move from Lower School into Year 9 to join his brother in Skipwith. In September my son Harry will start in the Lower School in Year 7!

Thus I will have three Sharp boys under the same roof, so thought it an ideal opportunity to join the PA as Year 7 rep and embrace the Shiplake College Community!

Year 8 - Angie Angell

Hi, my name is Angie Angell. My husband, Marcus & I have two sons at Shiplake, Taj will going into Year 8 and Jai will be starting Year 9 in Everett House. We live in Bledlow Ridge. Both boys joined at the start of Year 7 in Lower School and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of Shiplake College and all it has to offer, particularly the sport. I keep involved in the family company when I'm not taxiing the boys to their various sporting commitments, not to mention their social lives!

Year 9 - Amanda Looney

Amanda's son Seth will be joining Skipwith House in Year 9, having moved from the Lower School.

A more detailed introduction will be available soon.

Year 10 - Kiersti Way

Hi my name is Kiersti Way. My husband Paul and I have had two children at Shiplake College. My son Max will be in Year 10 in September 2017 and is in Orchard House and my daughter Lauren left the College in July 2017. We live in Lower Shiplake and Max joined Shiplake in Year 7, Lauren joined in the Sixth Form. I've been on the PA for a couple of years.

Year 11 - Kim Ambrose

Hello, my name is Kim Ambrose. Mother of Charlie Ambrose-McCormack (Chambrose) in Skipwith, whose first love is rugby followed by rowing, and he plays quite a lot of tennis outside school. Personally I am originally from Blackpool and now live with Charlie's Dad in Hambleden. I have been a Personal Assistant for a Middle Eastern Diplomat in London and Pangbourne for about 35 years and currently work as this part time. In addition, I have a rental portfolio in London. My main hobby is/was showjumping; unfortunately, I broke my pelvis when a horse fell on top of me and I never recovered my nerve completely. Now I play quite a bit of tennis, swim, walk and cycle along the river, sometimes while considering if I should risk getting another horse!

Year 12 - Nicki O'Hare and Erica Ferguson

My name is Nicki O'Hare. My husband Tim and I live in Watlington and have two sons at Shiplake College, Josh in Year 12 and Kai in Year 10. Both boys joined in Lower School  and are now in Skipwith House. They are both keen sportsmen and into drama too. I work part time for my husband's business and I have been on the PA at Shiplake for several years.

Hello my name is Erica Ferguson. My husband Gordon and I will have two children at Shiplake from September. Our son Ben started in Lower School and will be in Year 10 and our daughter Olivia (Livie) will move from Pipers Corner to Shiplake for Sixth Form in September 2017. We live close to Frieth and I have been on the PA for a couple of years. After a full-time RAF career I am now a part-time reservist with responsibility for looking after RAF Heritage. As the Year 12 girls' rep, I look forward to meeting you all as our daughters start this new and exciting time in their lives.

Year 13 - Annie Caldiera

I am Annie Caldeira. My husband Richard and I have two children at Shiplake College. My daughter Tayla is in Year 13 and my son Ethan is in Year 12. Ethan joined Shiplake in Lower School and Tayla joined in Year 12. I am a member of the Boat Club Supporters’ Association and I also arrange the PA Christmas Fayre each year.
