Headmaster's XV Selected
SportCo-Curricular

The first half of the autumn term has now concluded, and we are delighted to announce the first Headmaster’s XV of the academic year. This sporting achievement recognises fifteen pupils who have been exemplary in their sport over the previous weeks, displaying a commitment and ardour that is incredibly impressive.

Players from different teams across the board compete for the award, regardless for which team and sport they play. The Headmaster’s XV differs from other sporting awards, in that it is not based on sporting prowess alone; rather, the award takes into account the devotion and hard work that the pupils have shown.

Once names have been put forward by team coaches, Director of Sport Mr Duncan Traynor finalises the decision. Mr Traynor, finalising his first ever Headmaster’s XV, commented that ‘the commitment of pupils here is really impressive; the Headmaster’s XV is a great way of recognising those pupils who are working hard and improving. I’m looking forward to choosing further recipients as we move into other sports as the year progresses.’
