Shiplake College offers summer training camps for novice and improving rowers. Utilising the College’s excellent facilities, the week-long camps offer expert coaching and comprehensive tuition to ensure that all participants are able to significantly develop their skills and technique.

The camps are open to boys and girls aged 13 to 18 (ie those due to be in Years 9 to 13 from September 2016). The dates of the summer camps in 2016 are as follows:

  • Camp 1: Monday 1 to 5 August 2016 (£255 for the week)
  • Camp 2: Monday 22 to 26 August 2016 (£245 for the week)

The daily sessions run from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Lunch will be served in the Great Hall from 1.00pm-2.00pm for Camp 1. Pupils will be required to bring their own packed lunches for Camp 2. Please note that this is not a residential camp.

On the Friday of each week there will be some races in the afternoon. Parents are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to come and watch the races. This is a great opportunity for the rowers to demonstrate the excellent progress they will have made over the week.

Please complete the form below to book your son's or daughter's place on to a camp. If you have any queries regarding the 2016 Shiplake College Rowing Camps, please email [email protected] to contact our Director of Rowing Mr David Currie.
