Location
Shiplake College offers summer training camps for novice and improving rowers. Utilising the College’s excellent facilities, the week-long camps offer expert coaching and comprehensive tuition to ensure that all participants are able to significantly develop their skills and technique.
The camps are open to boys and girls, from any school, aged 13 to 18 (ie those due to be in Years 9 to 13 from September 2017). The dates of the summer camps in 2017 are as follows:
- Monday 24 to Friday 28 July 2017 (fully booked)
- Monday 31 July to Friday 4 August 2017 (booking now closed)
During the camps, daily sessions will run from 10.00am. On the Friday of each week there will be some races in the afternoon. Parents are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to come and watch the races. This is a great opportunity for the rowers to demonstrate the excellent progress they will have made over the week.
Please note that these are not residential camps.
Please note these camps become full very quickly so early booked is advised.
