The Headmaster warmly invites all Year 13 leavers and their parents to attend this year’s Leavers’ Ball. The Ball will be held in the Prize Giving Marquee, in front of the Pavilion and is strictly a black tie event. This event is always a great way for both parents and students to say farewell to one another and to celebrate their time as part of the Shiplake community. We see our parents very much as part of our community, and it would be wonderful to have as many parents attending the Ball as possible. Tickets are £65.00 each for parents and pupils and will, as always, be in very high demand. The evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7.00pm, followed by dinner in the Marquee served at 8.00pm. There will be a live band for the majority of the evening, followed by a disco. As is tradition, breakfast will be served at 1.15am in the Great Hall to complete the evening.
We do hope you will be able to join in the fun and round off your son’s or daughter’s time here at Shiplake College in real style. Leavers may wish to organise their own tables, and should liaise with Will Bailey or Liv Bartlett to make arrangements. If parents and guests of leavers would like to organise their own tables, it would be greatly appreciated if you could write on the back of the reply slip your specific requests. The tables will seat 10 people and we will do our utmost to accommodate all preferences. Please be sure to order your tickets by Friday 25 May. Tickets can be purchased below and will be posted out in advance.
The Leavers’ Ball Committee look forward to seeing a fitting turnout at the Ball, to celebrate the Class of 2018. It promises to be a memorable occasion.
