It is with much sadness that we share the news that former rowing coach, Kevin O’Sullivan, died suddenly on Saturday 25 March at home.
Kevin joined Shiplake College after seeing an advertisement in the local paper and remained on the coaching team for 10 years, really enjoying what he jokingly called “crowd control”. He will be fondly remembered for collecting the boys at the top of Headmaster’s Hill, where they would hang off his old Land Rover, 'Big Bertha', and for always rewarding the boys with Mars bars at the end of training.
A service was held at Sacred Heart Church in Henley-on-Thames on Wednesday 3 May, and then afterwards at Leander Club.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Kevin's family and friends at this time.
