Welcome to Shiplake

At the start of the Spring Term, the Staff Common Room welcomed three new members of staff to the College. We look forward to seeing them in action in their respective areas and subjects! 

Additionally, following on from the end of the Autumn Term, we would like to take this opportunity to say farewell and thank you to Miss Olivia Gayler, who leaves to take up a Head of Geography at Windsor Girls School, to Mr Keith Settle who had been providing maternity cover in the maths department, to Miss Kessia Thomas, who has been providing cover in the Computer Studies Department in Ms Anita Bhatti's absence, who has also now left the College. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.  

Mrs Jenny Overton 

Welcome to Mrs Overton who joins us in our Geography Department. She joins us from Cumbria and has a wealth of experience in teaching geography having previously worked at The Oratory and Abingdon School.  

Mrs Sue Partridge 

Welcome to Mrs Partridge who joins our Learning Development team as Thinking Space Manager and SEN Administrator (part-time). Mrs Partridge will be job sharing with Mrs White and has previously been an active member of the Parents’ Association. Mrs Partridge has recently been working as an Office Manager and has experience in marketing and PR.   

Mr Pete Redrup 

Welcome to Mr Redrup who joins the College as the new Head of Computer Studies. The position was previously held by Dr Lays Valim who will now focus on digital strategy. Mr Redrup previously worked at the Maiden Erlegh Trust as the Strategic Lead for Computer Science across their schools and has been teaching IT related courses since the mid 1990s. He is experienced in leading teams, overseeing curriculum development and deployment in computing, including KS3, GCSE Computer Science and Creative iMedia.
