Sports Report

In today's Sports Report, we catch up on the fixtures and events that took place before the half-term break. A separate article will be published on the Davies Shield match and so in this feature, we report on our Lower School girls' football and hockey teams, in addition to a clay pigeon shooting event.

Hockey

Girls' U12s vs Claires Court

Our U12A and B teams were in action last Tuesday at Henley Hockey Club taking on Claires Court School with fantastic matches all around, and great communication and skills demonstrated by all students.

The A team won 8-1 with goals scored by S Owens (2), A Longdon (2), M Reed-Ryan (2) and P Holmes (2). Player of the Match went to M Reed Ryan.

The B team were also victorious, winning their game 5-1 with all goals scored by E Bacon. Players of the Match went to E Walton and S Hall

We also saw two great performances from the goalkeepers – S Spearing and E Merry (who stepped up to play for the B team having never played in goal!)

Clay Pigeon Shooting

It was fantastic to see such a large group of pupils representing the College at a clay pigeon shooting competition held at Marlborough College last week. Thank you to Year 13 pupil J Barnes for the amazing pictures from the event.

Football

Girls' U13A vs Headington Rye School

On Tuesday 15 October, our Year 8 girls were in action against Headington Rye School, Oxford. While the 0-4 scoreline wasn't reflective of how well the girls played, we had some serious chances!

Player of the Match went to A De Felice, Players’ Player went to C Edwards, and Coach’s Player went to A English. A massive shoutout to Year 12 pupil A Godfrey for coming to support, running the lines and being a massive support for the girls.
