The football season came to a close at the end of the Spring Term with an end of season dinner for our senior pupils, in addition to award ceremonies for pupils in Lower School, Year 9, and Year 10. It gave everyone the opportunity to celebrate the fantastic achievements across the year groups, with awards and colours handed out at each level.

Speaking at the dinner, Head of Football, Mr Ben Claridge, spoke of the philosophy the College is trying to cultivate in its footballing approach, in addition to the large number of pupils who are keen to get involved. This year, it was great to have 57% of Shiplake pupils wanting to take part in football!

Additionally, Mr Claridge took the moment to reflect on the boys’ 1st XI’s season. Following their semi-final victory against Reddam House, they now have the chance of winning silverware for the first time in Shiplake College history.
