On Wednesday 25 June, the entire College community will come together for our annual Prize Giving ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the academic year before the Summer Term draws to a close. Parents and a number of special guests are invited to attend the day, which is always a memorable occasion. This year our Guest of Honour is Olympian and television personality Graham Bell.
Graham competed for Great Britain throughout the 1980s and 1990s on the alpine skiing World Cup circuit. This included representing GB in downhill skiing events at five Winter Olympic Games from Sarajevo 1984 to Nagano 1998. After enjoying a hugely creditable career in elite sport, Graham is perhaps even better known for his endeavours since then.

Graham has presented a number of BBC television programmes including High Altitude and Ski Sunday, as well as more recently being a lynchpin of the television coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
A self-proclaimed ‘adrenaline junkie’, who once reached a top speed on skis of over 120 mph, Graham is known for his sense of adventure. In 2009, he completed the gruelling Arctic Circle Race – a 160 mile cross-country skiing challenge in Greenland. He has also reached the final of BBC1’s Superstars sporting competition and competed in many triathlon and cycling events.
Graham, who now lives in Henley, has kindly agreed to join us to award prizes to pupils who have achieved notable successes this year. Graham will also share entertaining and inspirational stories and experiences from his life as an Olympian and elite sport broadcaster.
On the day, leavers and their families are invited to the Parish Church for a special service before all parents, pupils and guests make their way to the marquee for the prize giving ceremony itself. The day ends with a canapé reception on the front field.
