We are pleased to announce exciting changes to the Shiplake sports kit which will be introduced from September 2014. The changes will achieve an improvement in quality and design, giving Shiplake sports teams a consistent and professional image across the board.

Our Director of Sport, Mr Kersey, has worked alongside uniform suppliers SchoolBlazer and a number of sportsmen and women at the College to perfect the new designs and ensure all available garments are fit for purpose and adequately cater for pupils’ needs.

The most prominent item is the brand new reversible sports shirt. This will be worn for all House events and competitive sports fixtures in rugby, football and hockey. Feedback from pupils about the new designs has been overwhelmingly positive, and we cannot wait to see them take to the field next year in the smart new outfits.

Kit for PE lessons and other sports such as cricket and tennis will also be available to purchase from SchoolBlazer, in addition to a range of training wear. An updated uniform guide will be released in the coming weeks outlining items which will be compulsory and those which will be optional extras. As it will become the match playing kit for several major sports, all pupils are expected to own at least one of the reversible sports shirts by September 2014. For all remaining items there is a grace period for the next academic year, but in September 2015 pupils should be exclusively wearing the new designs.

The new items will be available to view and pre-order via the online shop at www.schoolblazer.com from Monday 16th June and parents are asked to wait until this date before ordering kit ahead of the next academic year.

Senior 1st team kits in rugby, netball, football, hockey, cricket and tennis will be manufactured by leading sportswear company Canterbury. We are currently working with Canterbury to create some excellent designs which reflect the honour and prestige of representing the College at senior level. The new kits will all be ready for the next academic year.
