Last month, Year 12 pupils spent the day at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club at Wimbledon.
On Wednesday 3 April, 21 Business Studies pupils in Year 12 set off for Wimbledon with Head of Business Studies Mr Olhausen. The group received a tour of the facilities, which includes the venue of the annual Wimbledon Tennis Championships, before a talk on what goes on behind the scenes of one of the world’s most prestigious tennis associations. This included information about the branding and finances of Wimbledon and interesting facts and statistics about the club, which pupils were intrigued by.
The pupils had a fantastic day and are now working through a series of tasks based on the information they gathered at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Further to this, Head of Business Studies Mr Olhausen, has rekindled the croquet club as one of our pupils’ co-curricular options after such a fantastic day at Wimbledon.
