Shiplake College was pleased to welcome the new Bishop of Dorchester, the Rt Revd Gavin Collins, on Friday 10 September, to commission and bless our Chapel Wardens and College Prefects for this academic year.
The Head Chapel Warden, Abi McCarthy, and the Deputy Head Chapel Warden, Jed Blacknell read from St Paul’s letter to the Philippians, ‘Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.’
The prayers were led by the Chapel Wardens and our Lay Chaplain, Mr Alcock.
Revd Chris Briggs, School Chaplain, said: "We offer our best wishes to these senior pupils as they fulfil their roles of leadership and service."
