A magnificent giant poppy made of stones has appeared outside the Skipwith building at Shiplake College, as part of the College's Remembrance Day commemorations.
The stones were painted by pupils in Year 7 and 8 with some displaying the names of the fallen from the Shiplake Community.
Art teacher Mrs Rebecca Goulden worked with the pupils on the stones during the pupils' art club sessions.
She said: "We wanted to create something really poignant for remembrance this year. It was lovely to see the pride the pupils put into creating something so special. The artwork has been placed in a prominent position for all to see on the front drive, and on Thursday 11 November, the whole school will stand around it as we remember the fallen."
The College will also be holding a Remembrance Service on Sunday 14 November with preacher Revd Hannah Bucks, Padre to 4 Royal Logistics Corps, and pupils, parents and staff in attendance.
