Last Friday, 16 September, saw Sixth Form pupils and staff gather for an evening of Dodgeball. With two staff teams taking part, in addition to the majority of the Year 12 and 13 pupils, it proved to be an entertaining and well-contested evening. The following is a report of the event, courtesy of Mr Jack Cooper:
"The Sixth Form Dodgeball event got off to a flying start with over 120 students competing in addition to 16 members of staff.
In what was a ferocious and competitive competition, the event consisted of group stages followed by a Champions League style knock out tournament.
After two hours of solid dodgeball, there could only be one winning team - TEAM 4 with Captain P Young and teammates, T Rossouw, T Angell, L O'Donoghue, S Verzone, R O'Keeffe and J Perry.
A massive thank you also has to go to our DJ Robbie Dawson in Year 11 who boarded an additional night and volunteered his time to DJ the whole event.
This will continue to be a regular fixture to the beginning of our term at Shiplake so bring on next year!"
