To celebrate a successful academic year, Lower School pupils embarked on residential activity trips. Year 8 travelled to the Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre in the New Forest, while Year 7 visited PGL Liddington in Wiltshire.
Both year groups enjoyed a fantastic three days, with no injuries and a great deal of enjoyment shared by all. The Year 7 programme included fencing, abseiling, aeroball, open canoeing and archery, with all pupils rotating around the activities to try their hand at everything.
Trip leader Mr Sam Beckett said: “The real highlights for the boys included a huge game of ‘capture the flag’, a session on robot man building and a dance off between Oli Frisby and Joseph Perry! Unsurprisingly, the boys also enjoyed the abundance of great food and the tuck shop.”
Year 8 visited the Beaulieu Motor Museum on route to their destination in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. Having arrived at the activity centre they had a busy few days of activities. The boys’ favourites included air rifle shooting, the ‘gladiator challenge’ and zip wire.
All staff who accompanied the trips would like to congratulate the vast majority boys who displayed a fantastic attitude and represented the College extremely well.
