Throughout last term, parents’ coffee mornings were held every Friday morning in the OVR. Their introduction proved popular, with a healthy turnout of around 10-15 mums and dads each week. We have now decided to continue the initiative, with several mornings scheduled for this term.
Before Christmas, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to socialise with other parents and discuss any issues with a senior member of staff. Furthermore, there are always representatives from the Parents’ Association in attendance. In September, we took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, where over 50 parents gathered for a charity cake sale.
The coffee mornings are returning on an intermittent basis this term, starting tomorrow (Friday 16 January). In response to feedback received last term, we have decided to split the mornings into groups of parents in similar year groups. This will hopefully ensure that all guests spot some familiar faces. However, attendance is by no means limited to specific year group parents, so if you are free and would like to join us please do not hesitate to come along.
