After the glory of doing well at Henley Royal Regatta, the rowing season was far from over for the boys who raced. Heading to the trials for the Great Britain Rowing, Will Carey and Henry Blois-Brooke had a lot of pressure to perform. However, they needn’t have been concerned, as all three rowers rowed impeccably, securing places in the crews at the Coupe de la Jeunesse.

After a very successful trial, both Henry and Will will be representing Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, which is being held at the end of July in Poznan, Poland. The Coupe team is the Great Britain Junior B team, so provides fantastic experience for the boys, as well as an introduction to international racing. Great Britain will field 51 rowers in 13 boats during the competition, including current Olympians.

Will has been selected to row in the Coxed Four, alongside rowers from Norwich School and Winchester College. Henry has been selected to row in the Eight, and joins rowers from Abingdon, King’s College and Hampton School.

All the very best of luck!
