More than 100 mini canvases are adorning the walls of the Great Hall this week following the Art Department's hugely successful miniature canvas competition last term.
Pupils, teachers and support staff were encouraged to bring out their inner Picassos using their imagination to create a mini masterpiece on a 10cm x 10cm canvas.
Following the competition launch by Art Scholar, Monty Walker in assembly on 4 October, entrants had until the end of the October half term to submit their entries.
The competition was open to all of the Shiplake community and students and staff were invited to paint, draw, print, stitch, knit, collage or add a photograph onto their mini canvas.
Three of Shiplake's Governors were then invited to judge the entries in November. Our thanks goes to Marsha Elms, Jimmy Gordon and Rose Grimond who viewed all the anonymised canvasses, arranged within their respective categories.
Well done to the following pupils and staff for their award-winning canvases under the judging categories:

Mrs Keli Thomas, Head of Art said: "We were so impressed with the quality of entries from across the school community.
"To have more than 100 entries for the judges to choose from was amazing, but equally very hard for them to make their final decisions.
"The quality of the work submitted as well as the detail and creativity in how everyone had a different interpretation of the brief was brilliant and it is fantastic to see the canvases all together as an exhibition in the Great Hall.
"I would like to thank the judges as well as all the pupils and staff who really showed us how creative the Shiplake Community is."
