The Year 13 leavers completed their time at Shiplake with a fabulously fun ball in the Prize Giving marquee. The girls and boys all looked exquisite in their dresses and black tie, with their parents and a large number of staff also present to mark the end of their time at the College. 260 guests arrived to music from Marcus Bagshawe and Quin Wagner-Piggot, before gathering around the TV screens to watch Henley Royal Regatta's live-streaming and cheer the Shiplake 1st VIII on to victory against Choate School, USA.
Following a delicious three-course meal served by the school's caterers, Thomas Franks, Greg Cooke took the opportunity to make his final speech as Head of College and make a number of thank yous, including College Housemaster, Mr Richard Curtis, and Gilson Housemistress, Ms Suzy Andrew. The guests then took to the floor to dance away the night, finishing with a survivors' breakfast in the Great Hall in the early hours of the morning.
