Forty-two golden tickets were up for grabs last term for pupils who had earned the highest total of excellence points (minus infraction points).
Twenty-one pupils from each half term (three from each year group) were awarded with golden tickets in assembly by the Headmaster, Mr Tyrone Howe and invited to a slap-up lunch in the Old Viking Room.
The first lunch was hosted by Mr Howe, took place on 22 October 2019, and the second lunch was hosted by Deputy Head Academic, Mr Paul Jones last Friday (17 January).
Pupils can receive excellence points for anything from a fantastic piece of work in class, to speaking in Chapel or performing in a concert.
The lunches will now be held every half term to reward those pupils with the most excellence points.
Mr Howe said: "It had been mentioned that it would be good to receive a tangible reward for working hard and behaving well, which is why we introduced the new Shiplake College Golden Tickets last term - and how better to reward this than through... food!"
Mr Jones, said: “The golden ticket lunches are our way to say thank you to the pupils for all their hard work. It was great to see some repeat customers at the second lunch!
“To all those pupils who received a golden ticket - well done and keep up the good work!"
