As part of the Year 13 Enrichment Programme, ‘ShipShape’, a group of Year 13 music and drama students put together a series of talk shows, called Shiplake’s Got Talent, to chat about some of their most memorable performances at the College.
Every week in the four weeks before half term, we were treated to a Friday afternoon chat show with clips from concerts, drama productions and house music competitions over the years.
Director of Music, Mr Richard Curran, said: “Because of lockdown we haven’t been able to host a lot of our usual events or celebrations and we wanted to reflect on the contribution our Year 13 students have made to music and drama during their time here, and celebrate their talent.
“The Shiplake Got Talent videos were really a fantastic trip down memory lane for all of us in the Shiplake Family, and it was great to reminisce on so many fun concerts and performances.
“I wish all the students the best of luck for the future and hope to see you back performing as Old Vikings in future concerts and summer festivals.”
You can see lots of our Year 13 students performing in our Shiplake Rocks (Home Edition) Festival next Thursday 18 June at 8.00pm. The event will be broadcast from our YouTube channel, so grab a drink and nibbles and sit back and enjoy the show!
