Shiplake's Summer Music Festival, Shiplake Rocks!, returned on Monday 26 June and hundreds of pupils, parents, staff and other friends of the College enjoyed a brilliant line-up of bands, ensembles, individuals and choirs with performances from current and former pupils, staff and even parents!

DJ RobDog (Robbie Dawson) provided arrival music before the performances started on the 'main stage' in the Prize Giving marquee, with the set-list then moving to the outdoor stage under the Stretch Tent. A range of street-food vans and bars added to the festival atmosphere as guests brought camping chairs and picnic blankets from which to enjoy the music and the evening sun together.

Opening the event was the Little Big Band, where the Year 7 and 8 pupils had the opportunity to show off what they have been learning through the 'Music for All' programme, and soon after they were all performing in the Lower School Choir. Greg Jones in Year 13 did a fantastic job of being the evening's MC and introducing each act. It was brilliant to see bands and individuals from across the year groups take part, as well Old Vikings Milo Griffiths (21O) and George Twydell (09O), staff performances and the Leamon family getting involved.

Thank you and well done to all those involved, including the team of music staff and all the visiting music teachers who work so hard to prepare for these events.
