We are delighted to release prints of this wonderful new painting of Shiplake College, commissioned to commemorate the opening of The Davies Centre.
Carolyn Tyrer is a well known artist (and former Shiplake parent) who has collectors of her work worldwide and this is a special opportunity to purchase a print of her painting.
The Davies Centre is our state-of-the-art development by the River Thames which includes a new boathouse, climbing wall, gym, archery and rifle range as well as storage for the College’s outdoor education programme.
Prints are produced in either A1 or A2 size. Only 250 will be produced. They are printed on high quality fine art paper, are signed by the artist and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. The are posted unframed and the cost includes P&P to UK addresses.
They make ideal gifts or a wonderful memory of your time spent at the College.
Please Note: Any purchase of a limited edition print requires Shiplake College to share the name and contact details with the artist Carolyn Tyrer who will process the order on the College's behalf. By purchasing this print you give consent for us to share this data.
Auction for Limited Edition Print #1
We are pleased to offer the opportunity for anyone connected to the College to secure #1 of the limited edition print run. The auction will run until 4.00pm on Tuesday 6 April and you can place your bid via the link below. There is a reserve of £300 for this special A1 print. This fundraising initiative was postponed from last summer and the funds raised were to go towards the completion of the Davies Centre.
About Carolyn Tyrer
Carolyn Tyrer is a professionally trained artist who loves to create beautiful paintings. Her favourite subject is water and the sports that take place on it. She trained at Central St Martin’s and the Sir John Cass in London, as well as in East Anglia. Each piece is carefully observed, crafted and lovingly created. As a Shiplake parent, Carolyn spent many hours cheering Shiplake teams on in competition and watching them train.
