Academic Success During Lockdown

This morning in Whole School Assembly, we celebrated all the pupils who have gone above and beyond in each subject this term. Heads of Departments also gave recognition to those pupils who performed really well with online learning during the last lockdown - our Lockdown Legends.

Mr Jones, Deputy Head Academic, said: “It’s great to end another term celebrating academic success. As well as Pupils of the Term, we have some new awards this time - Lockdown Legends. And these are awarded in recognition of pupils who have worked particularly well during lockdown.”

Mr Jones then handed over to each Head of Department to announce the winners in their subject areas. Congratulations and well done to the following pupils:

Headmaster Mr Howe, said: “Well done to everybody. When you hear your Heads of Department present those awards you realise how important it is to have your teachers driving you on. Without the impact and the input of your teachers over the term we would not have been able to achieve quite as much as we have been able to. It does not happen without your teachers and my thanks goes to them.”

And, as a surprise thank you to all our teachers, the Headmaster showed a video called The Thank You Project which was orchestrated by Prefects during lockdown.
