Well done to pupils from across all year groups who took part in the Autumn Term’s first cross country event, along a 4.6 kilometre course around the school grounds.
This was a practice event ahead of the offical House Cross Country later in the term and therefore no official times were taken. Each group had a staggered start with Sixth Form setting off first, and then each year group following at five minute intervals.
Thank you to Mr George Miller for organising the event and to all the staff who marshalled and cheered the pupils on.
The runners were also supported by Headmaster Mr Howe, who said: “It was a brilliant whole school occasion and a brilliant way to finish our first week back at Shiplake.
"There were some excellent performances and pupils seemed to have a lot of fun taking part. It was particularly good to see our new Year 7s getting stuck in.”
Well done to the following Year 7s:
1st Zac Wood
2nd Will Smith
3rd Jack Dag
4th Sam Baker
5th Indigo Doherty
