We are delighted to showcase a round-up of last half term’s Golden Easel Awards. Each week a new masterpiece selected by the Art Department gets displayed on the coveted Golden Easel in the entrance to Skipwith for all to see and admire.
Mrs Keli Thomas Head of Art, said: “What a fantastic array of work we have had on display throughout January and February. We’ve seen large scale and miniature acrylics on canvas, beautiful graphite drawings and even painting with bleach!
“I’m really proud of all the artists and it is wonderful to hear the comments from pupils and staff when a new piece of artwork is unveiled.”
Well done to Luka Suyatin (Year 7), R Goggins (Year 10), Freddie Stewart (Year 11 ), Tom Boxley (Year 12), Oscar Smaje (Year 11), and the Year 9 and 10 artists in the Art Club Carousel who painted the amazing large scale giraffe.
