The Shiplake College Catering Department underwent extensive refurbishment over the summer, with the team making the most of the absence of pupils to create a brand new, beautifully updated servery for their return.
Already a very popular area of the College with the pupils and staff alike, the updates to the Eat 2 Win restaurant have made the cafeteria modern and stylish; indeed, the servery is a well-crafted, contemporary highlight in the oldest building onsite, Skipwith. The finishing touches, such as blackboards displaying the dish of the day and wire pudding stands would not look out of place at the most fashionable restaurant.
And the update has more than just an aesthetic aspect; the complete refurbishment to the space means that more room has been created, to allow easier access to the serving areas. The ever-popular salad bar has also been moved into the centre of the serving area, rather than in the Great Hall, meaning easier access.
The menus have also received an update, and the Catering Department still offer an impressive selection of food across breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, as well as healthy snacks and desserts that are immensely enjoyed by staff and pupils across the years. For the updated menus please see below.
