The Summer Term has seen the start of the cricket, tennis and rounders seasons. Pupils have thrown themselves into the sports, and seen some great successes against local rivals out on the pitches. In rowing, crews across the years have experienced some fantastic wins in prestigious events, such as the 1st VIII winning the Schools Head of the River. We are delighted to announce that the latest Headmaster’s XV has been selected, in recognition of the hard work and impressive commitment displayed by students over the course of the previous half term.

The Headmaster’s XV is a departure from the normal sporting awards, which recognise the performance of individual pupils. The award is given to players from different teams, across the different sports, to celebrate hard work, enthusiasm and an exemplary attitude at all times. Coaches put pupils forward as recipients of the award, and the final decision lies with Director of Sport Mr Duncan Traynor.

Director of Rowing Mr David Currie has also selected pupils for the Headmaster’s VIII award, which celebrates the eight rowers who have exceptional commitment and passion.
