Go For Golf

On Monday 1 April, six boys from Years 9 and 10 took part in a golf match against Reading Blue Coat School.

At the start of the month, our boys, accompanied by Assistant Head, Co-Curricular Mr Hunt, travelled to the nearby Sonning Golf Club, did not disappoint. Below is the report provided by Mr Hunt.

All the boys warmed up on the range before pairing up against their counterparts from Reading Blue Coat. Everyone played off scratch, which made the going tough as the competition was fierce.

While the result did not go our way, there was some impressive golf played by both sides. The day was enjoyed by all and whet our appetite for more fixtures in the future.

While this is not a regular or historic fixture, our boys are keen to take part in more competitive matches on the local circuit, which includes Reading Blue Coat School and The Oratory School.
