Year 12 Art Scholar Saffron Goggins has launched the College's first ever ceramic exhibition in the Shiplake Reception Foyer where she has curated a selection of original ceramic pieces, including sculputre, vases and pots by fellow Year 12 artists.

All students, staff, and parents are welcome to come and see the exhibition which takes place over the next week.

Saffron said: "Scholars have to think of ideas to represent their departments, so I thought it would be really nice and a bit different to showcase everyone's work following our ceramic projects for A Level Art. Everyone's work was so incredible that I felt it should be on display.

"I made one of the vases which took a few weeks to make from start to finish. I had to start out planning the piece and then used cardboard to get the shape right. I would definitely like to do more ceramics even though it is very time consuming."

Saffron hopes to go on and do something art related when she finishes Shiplake next year. She likes being creative and having the freedom to use her own ideas in her work. Her favourite medium of art is painting with acrylics.

All are welcome to the exhibtion in the reception foyer. Visitors are invited to leave their comments in the visitor book.
