The Photography Department yesterday showcased the amazing talent of the Year 13 photographers in a special exhibition ahead of their A-level moderation, which took place today, Wednesday 14 June.

Every piece was original and highly creative and it was wonderful to see the photography classroom transformed into a studio of creative work for the exhibition.

Head of Photography, Mrs Chloe Lovelock, said:

'On Tuesday 13 June, we welcomed the students, their friends and family as well as staff to come and see all the amazing photography A-level work on display.

The Exhibition showcased all the work that the students have produced during their two years of A-level study. During this time, all photography students have produced a total of three projects, all based on different themes, in addition to a Personal Study essay on a chosen topic.

There were a wide variety of chosen topics and themes this year and these included: climate change, self-portraiture, people and places, structure, wildlife, memories, and more.

It was also a fantastic way for the students to display their photographs and projects from the New York Trip in February.

The students have worked really hard to produce beautifully laid out sketchbooks on their chosen themes, as well as a display of their work to summarise their project.

Mrs Krause and I are really proud of all the work that they have produced, and we hope that the moderation with Edexcel was successful.'

Best of luck to all the A-level photography students:
