The Great Hall was filled with parents on Thursday evening for the first time in almost two years as our Parents’ Association hosted a social evening of cheese and wine.
The PA teamed up with local winery and brewery Chiltern Valley, run by Old Viking Donald Ealand (02S) who came along to lead the event.
Guests were greeted with a welcome glass of fizz and then spent the next two hours tasting and learning about the selection of wines, ales and liquers made just down the road in Hambleden, alongside a range of fabulous cheeses from the Nettlebed Creamery and pate and crackers.
After the tasting, guests were able to purchase bottles of the drinks that they had tried which were delivered to the College for collection the following day.
PA Chair, Cindy Harper, said: ‘After two years, it was fantastic to finally be able to host a social event for parents at the College.
“The evening was really well organised and all who came seemed to have a thoroughly enjoyable time”.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event by coming along, to Don Ealand and his team from Chiltern Valley for running the evening so smoothly and to the members of our fabulous Parents’ Association for organising.
The next big PA event will be the Summer Ball on Saturday 25 June, more details will be available soon.
