On Wednesday 26 March, Music BTEC pupils Reiss Simpson, Lucy Collings and Sam Ryder-Smith hosted a charity gig in the Great Hall. The concert was organised entirely by the Sixth Formers as part of their course, and it was very well attended by staff, parents and boarding pupils.

There were solo performances from all of the musicians and they also collaborated superbly to perform Run by Snow Patrol, Say Something by A Great Big World and Demons by Imagine Dragons. Among the solo items were Hey There Delilah by the Plain White Ts, Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton, Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, Someone Like You by Adele and Youth by Daughter.

Headmaster Mr Davies said: “The pupils organised a truly excellent evening, with some fantastic talent on show. They chose a selection of very serious songs, but sung them beautifully ensuring the audience still had an enjoyable evening.”

Members of the Music department are extremely grateful to all those who came and supported the gig on the night, and look forward to welcoming parents back for the Spring Concert tonight (Thursday 3 April).
