Pupils and staff were treated to a fantastic musical medley for the College’s first Spring Term lunchtime concert.

Shiplake’s lunchtime concerts always present a diverse array of musical styles, and this concert was no exception as nine pupils took to the stage to showcase their talents.

Mr Jonty Slade, Music Administrator, said: "We enjoyed eight performances from classical clarinet to rock and musical theatre, played to a packed audience of supportive and enthusiastic students and staff.

“It was particularly heartening to see some prospective students in the audience too, and for them to have a chance to witness the talent of some of the finest performers at the College.

“Experienced musicians such as Charlie Thomas and Matt Waring dazzled, but equally impressive were the young musicians of Lower School, performing with considerable composure at the start of their musical careers at Shiplake."

Well done to the following pupils for a fantastic concert:

Matthew Waring (drum kit)
Ewan Pratt (piano)
X Cantellow (clarinet)
Leo Slowikowski (piano)
Ed Dallas (trumpet duet)
Elliot Jones (trumpet duet)
Fergus Heggie (guitar)
Eleanor Blois-Brooke (clarinet)
Charlie Thomas (voice and piano).
