Following the Gilson House victory in netball against College House at the end of last term, the two houses battled it out for a second time in a virtual quiz last week.
Four quick fire rounds on music, science, humanities and pot luck were put together on Kahoot to keep the playing field fair and square (and avoid any chance of skullduggery from either side).
The scores were close throughout, with the final results as follows:
- College House: Average score = 12,780
- Gilson House: Average score = 11,637
- 1st: Callum Creighton (20,890)
- 2nd: Patrick Kenny (15,935)
- 3rd: Evie Guironnet (15,195)
Mr Curtis, Head of Sixth Form said: “It was a fun and energetic evening with highlights including Gilson Matron, Mrs Trish Magee, holding up proceedings for 10 minutes whilst trying to get to grips with Kahoot technology - despite lots of help from the pupils. And, Mrs Higgins showing her general knowledge skills by thumping all and sundry with a 30,260 score - wow!
“I would like to say a big thankyou to Mr Nel for organising the questions and putting them online.”
With the Gilson House versus College House now all square after the girls won the netball, the trophy is still up for grabs in the final event - watch this space!
