A Highly Engaging Award
Academic

Just before the half-term break, all our pupils received their Progress Review One – the first report of the academic year, which for many pupils was their first report at Shiplake College. At this stage of the year, the most important aspect of the report is the Engagement with Learning scores which is essentially pupils’ academic effort.

This category has nothing to do with grades or academic potential and every single pupil is capable of putting in the effort to score highly in this category.

In Monday's Whole School Assembly, Deputy Head (Academic) Mr Jones had the pleasure in announcing the names of the pupils in each year with the highest Engagement with Learning scores. Certificates are on their way to the pupils and in Assembly, they were asked to stand to receive our applause.
