Winter Work Well Done!
Development

The College may have been quiet and free of pupils over the Christmas holiday, but the work continued as we carried out several works and completed many projects.

Work has included:

  • Completion of the renovation of Bevan 3, 4, and 5 on the ground floor of Bevan including asbestos removal, and the fitting of a new ceiling, lighting, flooring and repaint.
  • Completion of our new Paddocks Site astroturf, cricket nets, and MUGA.
  • Brushing in sand and marking out the netball courts on the new astro.
  • Packing away rugby and setting up for football.
  • Painting and fitting a new carpet in Music 2.
  • Receipt of a new minibus.

Additionally, there has been lots of general maintenance including health and safety compliance checks. We’ve cut back lots of low branches on site to improve safety and visibility, removed vegetation of our roofs, and replaced the flooring in parts of the John Turner Building to remove trip hazards. Additionally, we’ve repaired various boilers, conducted remedial work on the Stableyard classroom block, and enhanced the security of the College site with improvements to some of our fire doors and our fire alarms.

None of this could have been possible without the efforts of our fantastic grounds and maintenance team, in addition to the builders and contractors who have come on site. Thank you to everyone who was involved in keeping our College in wonderful condition!
